Abstract:

Anita Desai is always very conscious about unraveling the inner turmoils and tension of her female characters.With her poignant , hyper sensitive knowledge , erudition and inner psychological power concerning the natural and everyday affairs of the female in her world, Desai depicts her females and their familial,societal,economic dealings in her novels.She therefore becomes the explorer of the inner psyche of her female characters and opens a huge vizita of their psychological layerings.
